If I recall corectly you could hit 32's (with a berserker shield, so 31 with no str bonus shield) with silverlight on deomons in f2p so same damage max as Rune 2h? 50 Slayer doesn't seem like a new member :P. I'd suggest melee. Get a Black Mask with no charges, this will help you immensely while slaying. Also, when you can, do Monkey Madness, this unlocks the Dragon Scimitar, which is an amazing weapon, along with the whip, one of the best non-godsword weapons in the game.
